New Patients - Karel Lewit Clinic Assessments
The neuromuscular assessment is a thorough evaluation based on the needs of the patient. We work to identify which tissues are injured, and more importantly why these tissues are injured. This is accomplished by focusing on the problem(s) that brought you to us including both current and prior injuries as well as assessing overall body structure and movement patterns. Your practitioner will provide you with a plan which may include additional tests, additional visits, home exercise, manual therapies, or other appropriate intervention.
Nutrition & Lifestyle Consultation
At the Karel Lewit Clinic, we believe a customized nutrition and lifestyle plan is as essential as a customized exercise program. Its essential nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle recommendations are tailored to an individual's goals and current condition. Get started by meeting with one of our CIHP and Karel Lewit Clinic functional medicine practitioners for an assessment of your current metabolic needs and develop a plan to address your specific needs. Your health history, lab records, and goals will be considered when making your plan.
The McGill Assessment is for individuals with chronic low back pain who have failed several previous clinical approaches. The assessment begins with a clinical history review and a comprehensive provocation and orthopedic examination by a McGill Method Provider. This is followed by our proprietary Movement and Behavior Imprint (MBI) exam to determine your functional ability. The assessment concludes with a one-hour corrective exercise session with one of our rehabilitation practitioners. Following the assessment, a summary report is sent to the patient which includes the exam findings and corrective exercise program. The McGill Assessment takes approximately three hours. For more information on the McGill method and McGill method providers, visit the Backfitpro website provider information page.
